Informative Speech
Today I gave my speech over sociopaths. I felt really nervous about it all weekend. I practiced a couple times for it, I probably should've practiced more. I felt like I did pretty well on my speech. Well I couldn't find the words to say a lot of the time. It was one of the situations where I knew what I was talking about, like I know all my information but when it came time for the speech I couldn't find the words to say the information. I kinda had some troubles with eye contact, I would always look to the left of me at that side of the audience more than I did the right side. I looked in the middle a couple times. But mainly I looked at the left of me. That is something I seem to have troubles with often. I did lose my place in my speech a couple of times. I forgot to say a lot of stuff I has written down on my card or rough draft. Those are just some of the things I want to work one, giving my information (finding the words), eye contact, remembering parts of my speech.

I think that your speech went really well! I liked your topic because it was very interesting. You seemed like you knew your topic pretty well! Great job!:)
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job of analyzing your presentation. I will say that I was impressed with your knowledge about your topic, and I found that you had some good word choices that I could tell you came up with on the fly--that's what makes a great speaker! :) I would say be more aware of what you are doing with your hands and make purposeful gestures above the waist. Great start with this speech! :)
